Job Summary
Provides leadership and guidance in the areas of sanitation, sanitary design, risk analysis Food Safety and HACCP Operational Pre-Requisite Programs.
Responsibilities & Duties
Primarily responsible to support all phases of sanitation sanitary design and pathogenic environmental risk control for the Fresh Texas facility:

Understand, communicate, and lead sanitation programs and ensure all sanitation activities are being performed in an effective manner.

The position will interact with operations at all levels and food safety programs for the site.

Responsible for sanitation functions daily.

Responsible for management of Master Sanitation Schedule

Responsible for the maintenance and review of the waste management program and its effectiveness

Responsible for non-scheduled sanitation functions as requested by Sanitation Manager
-
Conducts Safety and Food Safety training as outlined in the Sanitation training Matrix
-
Responsible for timely completion of sanitation functions before Pre-operational inspections.

Ensures all GMPS, Food Safety, Personnel Safety, and company policies are adhered to

Ensures SSOPs are followed strictly

Manages ADP daily and verifies weekly before payroll
-
Responsible for all Dayshift Sanitation reports and Logs.

Responsible for scheduling and assigning sanitation personnel adequately while adhering to budgeted man hours per area/task.

Responsible for Communicating to Sanitation Manager in the event of any issue impacting Production, Food Safety or Personnel Safety.
Skills
-
Proficient in sanitation program management and metrics; State, FDA, USDA regulations; sanitation and microbiology, HACCP, GMPs, and quality systems.

Proficient with the concepts of hazard analysis, risk assessments, sanitation, continuous improvement, and system/process application.

Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and team interaction skills.

Highly motivated, self-directed and a self-starter.

Ability to be flexible with hours; occasional shift work required.

Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
-
Able to write reports, business correspondence and standard operating procedures (SOP).

Qualifications
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year College or technical school or equivalent experience and education; 3-5 years production or related experience in an FDA food manufacturing facility.

Ability to train, maintain and promote a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Regularly use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.

Employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold temperatures and moderate noise levels on a regular basis.

The employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, squeeze, using wrist flexion and extension with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to stand between 4-10 hours daily; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or overhead reaching.
