TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT

Fresh Logistics is seeking an experienced Transportation Assistant for our location in Kansas City, Kansas. Join our employee-owned company where you can make a difference. This position will serve as an assistant to the transportation department helping with the aspects of our delivery program for Liberty Fruit Co., Inc.

The successful candidate should have experience in routing & dispatching of a large fleet, analyzing transportation costs & efficiencies, and monitoring safety performance. This individual will assist in daily route scheduling, reviewing transportation cost and DOT compliance. Prior experience/knowledge with DOT regulations and use of a computerized routing system is preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Prior experience with UPS Routing system or other commercial routing systems is a plus.
• Ability to develop and maintain spread sheets and other documents to measure efficiencies of delivery program.
• Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of DOT regulations .
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Must be available to work on other shifts as needed by the business.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
