What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Supervisor position at Fresh Mark Incorporated?
- Promote a food safety and quality mindset throughout the plant
- Manage and evaluate: Quality Assurance Technicians and Pre-operational employees
- Manage Pre-Op procedures starting at 4:30am
- Monitor all documents generated by QA Technicians
- Perform Audits of paperwork
- Maintain files
- Update forms
- Train employees on new procedures
- Keep Up-to-date hold tag database
- Input data into database when forms are received
- Follow-up on actions for products on hold
- Production control- Monitor/Audit
- Help prepare for audits- Customer and annual certification audits
- Assist with Food Safety training and new employee orientation
- Building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with the operations team and USDA.
- Manage internal audit corrective action logs
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of work experience related to QA activities in food manufacturing
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written format
- Ability to work in a physical, manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with technology/computers
- Ability to investigate and follow-up on quality issues identified
- Must be HACCP certified or obtain certification within 1st 60 days
