Fresh Mark is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for performing quality control testing and monitoring of receiving, manufacturing, and processing activities to ensure products meet internal and external customer specifications.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety principles and knowledge of FDA GMP's and HACCP principles. You will be responsible for performing physical, analytical, and microbial testing as well as sensory evaluation, as per QA manual and procedures. Additionally, you will perform process checks throughout the production, packaging, sanitation, and warehousing functions of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Performing environmental testing using sterile technique, coordinating with the sanitation department for execution of the environmental testing program, communicating with QA management, Production, and Sanitation personnel on test results and observations made during the sanitation process, assisting the line technicians as required, and maintaining accurate and organized records of QA activities and USDA pre shipment records.
Requirements
A two-year degree or certificate in food science or related subject preferred, High school diploma or equivalent required, one or more years previous Quality Assurance or other related experience in the Food processing facility preferred, knowledge of food safety principles, ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment, high level of organizational skills, basic math skills, attention to detail, data entry and interpretation, database maintenance, intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.), good written and verbal communication skills/fluent reading and writing skills in English, work authorization: applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
