JOB SUMMARY : A Fresh Stop Sales Associate provides fast, friendly service to all Fresh Stop customers; performs operational duties necessary to keep the Fresh Stop store clean and well merchandised. The Sales Associate follows all company policies and procedures to ensure proper and efficient operation of his or her shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Consistently and courteously greet and thank each customer. Never argue with a customer. Manage complaints courteously and efficiently according to company policy.
- Promote sales using suggestive selling techniques as instructed by the store manager.
- Maintain an immaculately clean environment, using guidelines provided by the Store Manager. Always clean when time allows.
- Conduct efficient and accurate sales transactions; notify the store manager of any sales, cash, or operating discrepancies; and generate accurate and legible shift reports.
- Know and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform all duties required on Shift Duty Checklists.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations concerning all facets of job responsibilities and duties, and store operations, including the sale of age restricted products.
- Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
- Communicate efficiently and professionally with store manager and co-workers. Keep Store Manager informed of any maintenance problems and / or any situations out of the ordinary.
- Perform all necessary merchandising duties according to company policy and procedure; including (but not limited to) proper pricing, knowledge and implementation of promotions and sales, suggestive selling, proper vendor check-in, stocking merchandise (including the cooler), and keeping all merchandise clean, fronted, and faced.
- Ensure that all food and food preparation maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in the proper training of new Sales Associates as needed.
- Attend and participate in all required training sessions.
- Never discuss company business in the presence of customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
