Sr. Industrial Engineer, Continuous Improvement
The selected candidate for this role will be responsible for process improvements and scheduling in FreshDirect’s Operations
- Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction within the function.
- Develop and implement scheduling algorithms and methodologies to optimize distribution schedules.
- Demonstrate strong continuous improvement knowledge and application of toolkit.
- Develop and ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Support plant and transport project improvement initiatives.
- Lead and drive the change process.
- Work with partner and SME (subject matter experts) to identify and resolve any concerns related to the processes and systems.
- Be the operations representative for system change management.
- Flexible schedule and availability during critical times and peaks of the year including project roll out periods.
- Design and implement efficient solutions including but not limited to capacity, productivity, quality and service.
- Collect and analyze data to quantify and validate process improvements.
- Manage projects from start to finish, including cost justification, project planning, execution, training, and go-live support.
- Master’s degree in industrial engineering or related field
- 3 years' experience in operations, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing
- 2 years’ experience in data analysis and SQL
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and lead individuals who are not direct reports
- Comfortable juggling and coordinating multiple projects across several channels simultaneously
- Able to write for and work with a wide range of audiences, from executives to line workers
- Enjoy operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment under time constraints.
- 5 years' experience in operations, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing
- Experience working in a union environment
- Experience working with an automated system.
- Hands on experience with WMS and SAP
Salary : $78,660 - $98,325
