JOB SUMMARY: As a Production Worker you are responsible for the production of food products. As a Cold Production
Line Employee for pre-packaged school meals for FreshLunches, your primary goal is to ensure the efficient and hygienic
assembly of cold food items, such as sandwiches, salads, and fruit cups, following strict quality and safety standards. You will
play a crucial role in contributing to the overall success by producing and packaging nutritious and appealing meals to students.
The Production worker will rotate through all areas of production ranging from: Pulling Supply, Assembling or Filling
Production Line and Packaging.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Pulling Supply:
? Retrieve and organize ingredients and supplies needed for production.
? Ensure accurate inventory counts and report any shortages or discrepancies.
? Set up workstations with all the necessary ingredients and equipment.
2. Assembling/Filling Production Line:
? Follow standardized recipes and assembly instructions to prepare food items according to FreshLunches
standards.
? Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
? Ensure product quality and freshness throughout the production process.
? Adhere to portion control guidelines, plating and packaging standards.
? Affix labels, and other exterior details to products.
? Prepare ingredients by following recipes - slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing
ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste; and plating meals.
3. Packaging:
? Package finished products according to packaging specifications and labeling requirements.
? Ensure proper sealing, labeling, and dating of packaged items.
4. Quality and Safety Compliance:
? Follow food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and hygiene practices at all times, which include:
maintaining temperature logs as required, and maintaining appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food
items (FIFO).
? Report any food safety or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
? Monitor equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
5. Team Collaboration:
? Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
? Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding production needs, challenges, and solutions.
? Ensure that high standard of personal hygiene is kept, uniform is clean and are well-groomed at all times.
? Promote and comply with all FreshLunches policies and procedures.
? Practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
? Perform other tasks as assigned by Production Lead and/or Management.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
? Proven work experience in food production or a similar role in warehousing.
? Familiarity with food safety regulations. HACCP principles and hygiene practices.
? Attention to detail and multi-tasking is vital as multiple production must be handled accordingly.
? Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment with
consistent speed and accuracy.
? Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to 30lbs.
? Good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
? Basic math and recording abilities.
? Ability to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality.
? High school diploma or equivalent.
ENVIRONMENT: Warehouse setting, requiring physical labor and use of protective gear as necessary. Some overtime might be
required during peak seasons.

- Ensure that all production deadlines are met
- Monitor equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly
- Affix labels, and other exterior details to products
- Observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
- Perform other tasks as assigned

- Ability to work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy
- Ability to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing
- Exposure to high and/or low temperatures
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required
- Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 30 pounds at a time
