JOB SUMMARY
The Line Lead worker is responsible for providing assisting the Team Leader with daily leadership, direction, and support to packing associates, line feeders and stackers; and maintaining a safe, organized, clean and efficient operation for an assigned number of lines. Must be able to proactively identify and analyze problems and recommend appropriate corrective action to improve performance to the Team Leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assign crew members to specific duties to maximize efficiency for a department at the direction of the Team Leader, conduct routine checks and confirm paperwork for performance.
Confirm orders are processed and packed according to standards, products are mixed or non-mixed packed, sealed, metal detected, and weighed.
Ensure that the crew is working safely and efficiently as a team, confirm expected finish times, and confirm hours to complete the product in standard specification time.
Correct anyone who is not following preferred work methods and/or is working in an unsafe manner and ensure all Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and other food safety guidelines are always followed.
Ensure team is following GMPs, and that the work area is washdown ready from sanitation to finish, including the floors, tables, cutting boards, and equipment.
Review KPIs daily with team leads after daily huddles, and partner effectively with team to drive productivity, PPH, Yields and Process Flow
Monitor inventory and confirm raw products needed.
Perform the regular duties of a team member.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
2 years (extensive) produce knowledge or related industry.
General understanding of processing procedures of a high-volume warehouse/ production facility.
Knowledge of GMP policy
Experience leading a work crew of 5 or more.
Skills
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
Bi-lingual preferred
Basic computer skills

Physical Demands
Able to manually move 25lbs. frequently and up to 50lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull.
Constant standing and walking for periods of over eight hours.

Assign duties to crew members and efficiently direct workflow.
Ensure that the crew is working safely, following all preferred work methods and food safety procedures and guidelines.
