Job Summary:
This is a sales position that reports directly to the Manager or Director of Sales. This position is responsible for promoting the company's products and services, and for building relationships with designated accounts. The focus is on helping FreshPoint customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals established by the company via instore stocking and replenishment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grow customer and FreshPoint sales, volume, and profit year-over-year by ensuring stock levels meet customer demand. Stock displays in a manner compliant with customers' defined schematics using quality products and removing freshness-dated and damaged products from displays before leaving the section or store.
- Optimize consumer engagement on shelf by performing basic duties related to new and existing merchandise, including price changes, tagging, ad set, and shelfing arrangements. Clean fixtures when stocking or dressing down departments to ensure a pleasing customer experience.
- Enhance partnerships with retailers by maintaining client relationships through visits with store employees, department managers, and store managers. Collaborate with store leadership on product displays.
- Oversee the ordering of all products supplied by FreshPoint to ensure sufficient product is displayed at the store or held in the backstock area to meet consumer demand until the next order is delivered. Arrange for credit for damaged products.
- Process orders and resolve conflicts by setting up orders in customer systems and solving issues with billing, receiving, and scanning at the customer level.
Education Required:
High School Diploma
Experience Preferred: 2 years of retail merchandising experience with a valid driver's license
Technical Skills and Abilities:
- Stock products on shelves, increase display space, and improve shelf positioning of FreshPoint products as needed. Adjust product facings when necessary.
- Remove freshness-dated and damaged products.
- Understand individual store plans to assist with product re-sets.
- Maintain client relationships by visiting with employees, department managers, and store managers.
- Collaborate with team members on product displays.
- Maintain inventory by observing levels, reordering when low, and arranging for credit for damaged products.
- Set up displays for special promotions, observe customer reactions, and remove promotions at the end of the promotion stage.
- Monitor and report on pricing and display of competitors' products.
- Record inventory, hours, and online surveys on computer systems.
