Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the clinic.
- Manage incoming phone calls with professionalism and effective phone etiquette.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the medical staff.
- Perform insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their coverage options.
- Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management, including updating records and processing information accurately.
- Handle medical coding tasks, including ICD-10 coding for patient records and billing purposes.
- Assist with medical collections by following up on outstanding payments and providing necessary documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Familiarity with NEXTGEN or similar practice management software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification processes and medical coding (ICD-10).
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
