Position Description
LIMITED RECRUITMENT
In accordance with Personnel Rule 4310.4 (Download PDF reader), the County of Fresno invites applications for the position of Executive Assistant. The Incumbent will serve as a personal assistant to the Department Head and perform administrative support functions. In addition, the incumbent may oversee administrative support, business, or personnel support functions within the department including research and analysis, project oversight, and coordinating the department’s billing, accounting, purchasing, personnel/payroll, and budget preparation functions on behalf of the Department Head.
Please note: The current vacancies exist in the Information Technology Services Department and General Services Department. However, the eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill vacancies in other County departments as they occur.

Minimum Qualifications
Please Note: Option 3 has been limited to candidates possessing a specific experience background deemed acceptable to the hiring Department Head.
OPTION 1:
Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system.
OPTION 2:
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time, paid clerical or paraprofessional work experience with the County of Fresno.
OPTION 3:
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time, paid administrative work experience supporting executive level leadership.
The following information is in addition to the options listed above:
Other: Ability to type sixty-five (65) net words per minute may be required.
License: Possession of a valid Class “C” driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.
Please Note: Incumbents may be required to obtain and maintain Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) clearance as a condition of employment.

Positions in this classification are in Medical Group I - Light Physical Activity (Personnel Rule 8).
