PRESS OPERATOR
Responsibilities
- Tends heated presses that mold and cure rubber goods:
- Read and sign work orders before starting on the production of parts
- Prepare rubber and locate all needed raw materials for the project
- May insert metal parts in mold cavities to join with rubber during the process
- Remove molded product from cavity as part of the demolding process
- Remove any excess flashing on products
- Inspect parts as they come out the mold for any visual defects
- Cleans mold before loading next cycle
- Maintain traceability throughout whole production process
- Transport molded product from press line to trimming department
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
- Daily House cleaning done at end of shifts
- Follow all safety requirements and maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications
- Must be able to take instruction and follow production and safety guidelines
- Good employee relation skills
- Be able to lift up to 35 Ibs. Repetitively
- Must be able to stand in designated workspace for 8 hours daily
