Responsibilities
- Drive the effective execution of the 16 Quality Areas System among the cross functional departments in the Production organization
- Supervise Material Review Board and Hold Area Teams to drive effective and timely disposition of suspect/defective material and to ensure same is systematically blocked from use
- Supervise and assign incoming inspection activities, and daily department activities such as product testing, line audits, FAR and validation processes and technical work such as MFI analysis
- Manage time card approvals and schedules to ensure Production is appropriately supported by Quality Technicians
- Review and analyze supplier COAs; present data and findings to department leadership
- Oversee the use of the QT9 modules through supervision technicians with the goal of becoming and developing SMEs; monitor QT9 to ensure QT9 processes are up to date: Calibration program, Document Revisions, Quality Tools
- Monitor Quality Alert program for trends and escalate to management
- Supervise and assign posting and review of KPI data
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
- Demonstrates competency in Integrated Quality Systems, with minimum 2 years’ experience
- Demonstrates competency in supervision and personnel management, multi-shift management preferred and 5 years’ experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of Quality and Manufacturing principles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to make a plan, execute a plan, and measure results
- Familiarity with and ability to use computer and software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internal software) as required
- Math, analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of and ability to read and decipher blueprints and engineering drawings
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Good communication skills verbal and written, bi-lingual (English / Spanish) preferred
