We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales team at our luxury boutique resort in the Catskills. As a Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving group sales, fostering relationships, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Management: Meet and exceed revenue goals by developing and executing effective sales strategies
- Group Sales: Increase group bookings by focusing on corporate executive retreats and weddings
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies through key channels, including MPI, CVENT, Helms Brisco, and destination meeting planner networks
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and inspire a sales team of three, cultivating a high-performance and collaborative environment
- Business Development: Proactively generate new business by building relationships with meeting planners and increasing wedding bookings
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a boutique hotel or resort setting. They should have a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets while growing revenue streams.
They should also have strong knowledge of corporate group and wedding sales, with experience using platforms like MPI, CVENT, and Helms Brisco. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing and growing a high-performing sales team are also essential.
