Interim Chief Financial Officer

District Partners has been engaged by a rapidly growing ecommerce business focused on delivering exceptional products and customer experiences. As they scale, they seek an experienced Interim CFO to provide strategic financial leadership, optimize financial operations, and support growth initiatives.

The Interim CFO will be responsible for overseeing financial strategy, cash flow management, profitability optimization, and operational efficiencies. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance executive with a strong background in ecommerce, digital payments, and inventory management. The Interim CFO will work closely with the CEO, executive team, and investors to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure financial stability during a critical transition period.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
• Optimize cash flow, oversee working capital, and ensure effective financial controls to support inventory, fulfillment, and operational expenses.
• Analyze pricing, margins, and cost structures to improve profitability across all sales channels (DTC, B2B, marketplaces, etc.).
• Ensure seamless integration of payment processing, fraud prevention, and financial reconciliation with ecommerce platforms.
• Lead the annual budget process, rolling forecasts, and financial modeling to drive informed decision-making.
• Manage relationships with private equity, venture capital, and lenders to secure funding and optimize capital structure.
• Support due diligence, valuation, and integration efforts for potential acquisitions or partnerships.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and adherence to GAAP / IFRS standards.
• Evaluate and improve the financial tech stack, including ERP (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or others), BI tools, and ecommerce integrations.
