Director of Sales
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to join the leadership team of a luxury boutique resort in the Catskills.
The Director of Sales will be responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue goals, focusing on growing corporate executive retreats and wedding business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Management: Meet and exceed budgeted revenue goals, driving sales and budgets as the property grows.
- Group Sales: Increase group bookings, with a focus on corporate executive retreats and weddings.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies through key channels, including MPI, CVENT, Helms Brisco, and destination meeting planner networks.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and inspire a sales team of three, cultivating a high-performance and collaborative environment.
- Business Development: Proactively generate new business by building relationships with meeting planners and increasing wedding bookings.
- Market Positioning: Leverage the resort's unique position as one of the largest independent boutique hotels in the Catskills to secure high-value group business.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a boutique hotel or resort setting.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets while growing revenue streams.
- Strong knowledge of corporate group and wedding sales, with experience using platforms like MPI, CVENT, and Helms Brisco.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing and growing a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
