Friday Services is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeping Assistant for our client, a family-owned apple farm located in the scenic heart of Henderson County, North Carolina. The farm has been growing high-quality apples for local markets and beyond for six generations. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team and support the day-to-day financial operations.

Job Description:

As a Bookkeeping Assistant, you will help manage the farm’s financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with basic accounting experience who are eager to apply their skills in a hands-on, farm environment. You will work closely with the team to ensure financial data is accurate and reports are prepared on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the farm.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring correct coding and documentation.
• Assist in reconciling bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Provide general administrative support to the farm team as needed.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, or similar, is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Job Type:

Full-time

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience

Expected Hours:

40 hours per week
