Bookkeeper
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Non-Exempt, 12-Month Position; Full-Time; 40hr/wk
SALARY: NC 6-10 Based upon qualifications and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate required; associates degree in accounting/business administration preferred; or 5 years of accounting experience involving a large variety of complex duties required; high level of computer proficiency required; ability to work with confidentiality; strong verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of accounting techniques and procedures; ability to interpret, analyze and report information; dependable; with good job attendance record with previous employers.
DUTIES: Accurately maintains a large, multi-fund bookkeeping system using an online accounting program; verifies and receipts collections of money from school personnel and school events; creates daily deposits, issues local requisitions for school funds; verifies invoices for payment; maintains receipts of items; enters accounting transactions into the system; generates monthly reports including cash flow statements, balance statements, and income/expenditure statements for each fund; accurately maintains payroll records and completes monthly payroll reports; other duties as assigned by the Principal, CFO, and/or Superintendent.
