Job Summary
The candidate will be responsible for processing data entry, opening insurance claims, assist with signing up cases, property damage claims and other basic law firm administrative procedures. Often the first point of contact for our clients, the Legal Assistant plays a vital role determining our client’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Screening all intakes for all personal injury practice areas, as well as follow-on contact to secure leads.
- Ensure all case intake legal documents are processed, signed, and executed properly.
- Open insurance claims.
- Entering all accurate information into Aderant, and sending out the necessary documentation including LOR's.
- Requesting and purchasing police report.
- Send out new case information to the corresponding paralegal
- Complete daily quota on entering 5 cases per day
- Contact clients within 48 hours and explain the property damage process
- Contract insurance carriers to confirm if liability is accepted
- Fax or email property damage letter within 48 hours
Qualifications and Skills
- Be able to handle a heavy call volume (70 daily ) with tact and empathy.
- Strong communication skills and highly organized.
- Strong teamwork abilities.
- Customer Service or Call Center experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
