Company Description
Friendly Paws Pet Sitting was founded in 2023 to provide high-quality, attentive pet care services to families in the Greater Springfield area. We provide in-home sitting, dog walking, overnight care, and drop in visits for dogs, cats, and other small animals.
Role Description
This is a contract role for a Pet Sitter/Dog Walker. The Pet Sitter will be responsible for providing pet care services, including dog walking, to ensure the well-being and happiness of pets. This position will start with very low hours (5-10 per week), and hours will gradually increase as the business continues to grow. This is a 1099 position, and no benefits are provided.
Qualifications
- Love and compassion for animals
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle outdoor activities
- Reliability and punctuality
- Good communication skills
- Willing to spend overnights in clients' homes as needed
- Prior experience in pet care is a plus
- Access to a mobile phone that can download applications
- Valid US Driver's License is required
- Access to a reliable motor vehicle to commute to clients' homes
- American Red Cross Dog/Cat First Aid Certificate Required (If you do not have one, Friendly Paws will cover 50% of certification cost if hired)
