    Friends For All believes in compensating our employees fairly and we look at both internal and external salary analysis. The range listed is an estimate as it looks at the total compensation package as well as factors such as skill sets, training, education and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range as this gives the employee a chance to grow into the role.

    JOB TITLE :

    Learning & Wellness Support Specialist

    SUMMARY :

    The Friends For All Corporation’s Learning & Wellness Support Specialist (LWSS) will greet visitors pleasantly and professionally while conveying a feeling of warmth, respect & understanding. The LWSS plays an important role in the continuum of HIV care by bridging housing and medical services with other supportive services, specifically Wellness University, Digital Health Literacy, and Access to Employment / Volunteer Opportunities. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support through monitoring The Resource and Education Center activities, facilitating daily skill-building classes and / or activities, assisting consumers with minor technical requests, answering agency phone calls, providing assistance for Wellness University & Wellness University Online, and scheduling client Lyft / Uber transportation requests.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Open / close the Resource and Education Center (REC) and make coffee daily (M-TH, 8 : 30am to 4pm & F, 8 : 30am- 3pm).
  • Monitor the Resource and Education Center (REC) and the proper administration of computer usage. Provide general technical support.
  • Ensure that course materials, content, and resources are regularly updated and aligned with learning objectives. Review and revise existing courses for continuous improvement, incorporating learner feedback and industry trends.
  • Coordinate with Early Intervention Services with the Digital Health Literacy program with assigned client tasks such as resume building, computer assistance, and web-based application assistance.
  • Encourage client participation and provide administrative support for Wellness University.
  • Develop Wellness Plans for all Wellness University clients- update client goals and objectives biannually.
  • Assist Client Engagement Manager with reviewing and revising existing courses for continuous improvement, incorporating learner feedback and industry trends in the Learning Management System for Wellness University Online.
  • Facilitate skill-building classes with clients daily as part of Wellness University.
  • Coordinate daily learning activities and events in the Resource and Education Center that supports Wellness University classes.
  • Create and maintain a sign-in sheet for the Laundry and Shower Room. Monitor shower and laundry usage.
  • Process Lyft / Uber ride referrals and schedule pick-up and drop-off through the Lyft Concierge system.
  • Provide client support in navigating Lyft / Uber to ensure they arrive timely to scheduled medical and social services appointments.
  • Distribute snacks and ensure the Resource and Education Center is well maintained and clean throughout the day.
  • Enforce Client Code of Conduct, and assist clients with completing the Client Grievance Procedures and / or Client Incident Reports when necessary.
  • Ensure that the Resource and Education Center is stocked with appropriate snacks and supplies as well as conduct weekly inventory.
  • Receive and ration food donations and maintain purchased inventory.
  • Ensure the Wellness University instructors have access to classroom space, needed supplies, and sign in sheets.
  • Assist with tracking, answering inquiries and assigning courses to consumers enrolled in Wellness University-Online.
  • Make copies, send faxes, and assist consumers with administrative related requests.
  • Ensure consumers complete REC Utilization Form and input data into CAREWare within 24 hours of service.
  • Organize sign in sheets for WU facilitators and enter data into CAREWare within 24 hours of service.
  • Complete bus / gas card requests in Apricot for Wellness University participants.
  • Research and maintain support services community resources
  • Manage and track clothing closet donations and distributions.
  • Enroll clients in Wellness University Online and prepare monthly reports on clients' data usage.
  • Complete proper, accurate and timely documentation of services in writing and in Athena, CAREWare, Evaluation Web, Redcap, Apricot, and any other database, as required.
  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Cross-Train on Front Desk duties.
  • Answer incoming agency calls as needed.
  • Regular and predictable punctuality and attendance is required
  • Return all calls, emails and text in a timely manner.
  • Participate in weekly or biweekly coaching sessions with supervisor
  • Complete Performance Reviews and SMART GOALS
  • Participate in All Staff Meetings, In-Service Days and Mandatory Trainings
  • May need to travel in personal vehicle to meet staff, clients, or community partners at FFA locations or at other locations to meet the needs of the position

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience navigating learning management systems (LMS), such as Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or similar.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and multimedia editing tools.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and online instructional design best practices.
  • Good strategic / critical thinker, self-starter, goal-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to operate with purpose, urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with particular attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work with a diverse client population
  • Strong relationship-builder both with team and clients (internal and external)
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Computer skills : ability to efficiently navigate the Internet and input data into applicable systems; familiarity with MS Office 365, especially Outlook and SharePoint, Adobe, TEAMS and Zoom
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Maintain confidential information and adhere to all Friends For All policies and procedures regarding sharing of financial information and Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

  • Must have a valid State Driver’s License, provide proof of automobile insurance coverage to employer at all times and have an automobile to be used daily.
