Job Description:
Life Skills Trainers provide one on one skills training for persons with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities living in nursing facility settings with the goal of increasing independence. Typical skills training includes activities that enhance socialization/communication skills and cognitive skills; it is individually designed for each client served. No direct care responsibilities. On the job training for the position will be provided. No certification required. No nights or weekends. Paid holidays and earned leave, even your birthday is a paid holiday. Monday through Friday but work schedule is flexible.
Successful Life Skills Trainers are creative and can work independently without direct supervision. You can really see the difference you make in the lives of the clients you assist.
