Friends Forever is an innovative new program, designed to foster lifelong community, connection, and opportunity for Riverview School alumni. We’re seeking a passionate Program Director to oversee day-to-day operations and the continued development of our services.
Job Summary:
The Program Director will manage and enhance the Friends Forever program and will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing systems to ensure smooth, individualized services for participants. The Program Director will oversee program operations, collaborate with school leadership and community partners, supervise staff, and engage with participants and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily program operations and ensure high-quality, person-centered services.
Collaborate with Riverview School leadership to leverage resources and support programming.
Supervise mentor staff, ensuring proper training and development.
Build relationships with participants, families, and community partners.
Monitor and track program outcomes, providing updates to leadership.
Coordinate activities, including some evenings and weekends.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or Nonprofit Management). Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in adult disability services (or 10 years with at least 3 in a supervisory role).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of person-centered planning and adult disability services.
- Flexibility in work hours, including occasional evening or weekend commitments, is essential.
- Valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid/AED certification or will acquire, and ability to walk moderate distances and lift/carry up to 25lbs
- Suitable background check (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting is required
