OVERVIEW:
The Development Coordinator is a key team member driving the success of Friends of the Dallas Public Library's (FoDPL) fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. We’re looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual who thrives on achieving results, fostering relationships, and contributing to the mission of empowering the Dallas Public Library.
What You’ll Do
Donor Relations & Fundraising Support
- Process donations promptly and craft personalized acknowledgments to build lasting donor relationships.
- Manage and optimize the DonorPerfect CRM to maintain accurate donor records and generate insightful reports.
- Assist with prospect research, grant applications, and tracking deadlines to secure new funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and board members to set and achieve ambitious development goals.
Event Coordination
- Play a vital role in planning and executing fundraising events, from coordinating logistics to managing RSVPs and vendors.
- Engage and oversee volunteers, ensuring seamless event execution.
- Contribute to post-event follow-up, including participant appreciation and actionable feedback collection.
Mission-Driven Impact
- Represent FoDPL with professionalism, passion, and integrity in all interactions.
- Work collaboratively to grow donor support, strengthen community engagement, and achieve fundraising milestones.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or equivalent work experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising.
- Proficiency with donor management systems (DonorPerfect preferred), Google Docs, Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience in grant research and writing, plus social media marketing.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
