This is a Friends Outside contract position with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at California's Men Colony in San Luis Obispo, CA providing inmate services and programs to incarcerated men and support to their loved one.
What we do in prisons:
Friends Outside Case Managers/Family Liaison Services Specialists provide evidence based programs and services to incarcerated people and their loved ones, strengthening families, reducing recidivism, and bringing back hop to people in despair through:
Parenting Education and family liaison services
Visiting support
Navigating family and reentry resources and sources of community support
Creative Conflict Resolution groups (Part of the Alternatives to Violence Program Network)
One on one preparation for release
Required Qualifications:
Approved criminal clearance (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation)
Two year college degree
OR two cumulative years of documented experience demonstrating a work history in the area of social service work or related fields
Compensation: $21.00 - $22.00 an hour, 20 hours per week
