General Laborer
Friends School of Baltimore is currently seeking a Full-Time General Laborer to join our maintenance team. This position will primarily provide support for other skilled work conducted by the maintenance team to include: maintaining, installing, altering, and repairing of components relating to the campus and its various buildings. Specific duties include (but not limited to): collecting trash, snow removal, event set-up, parking assistance, unclogging drains, and securing buildings.
This position will work directly under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Facilities while performing tasks either independently or with other members of the department.
Qualifications:
- ability to regularly lift, move, and carry packages up to 25 pounds without assistance
- a team player who is able to deliver a positive customer service experience
- a High School Diploma or equivalent education in technical studies from an accredited institution, or have previous experience in this role
- a valid driver's license
- ability to use power tools and machinery
- ability to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions
