Social Studies and Special Education Educator

Job Description:

Friendship Central School District is seeking a dedicated educator to fill the position of Social Studies and Special Education Teacher. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach social studies, history, geography, American government, political science, or humanities courses to secondary students.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying disabilities.
• Maintain a well-organized and inclusive classroom environment.
• Evaluate student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and curriculum evaluation.

Requirements:

• Certification as a Social Studies and/or Special Education teacher.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators.
