Job Summary:
Within the Mission and Strategic Plan established for Friendship Industries, Inc. and Able Solutions, Inc., the Human Resources Manager oversee all human resources functions. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for recruiting and retaining top talent, ensuring compliance with labor laws, fostering employee engagement and developing & implementing policies that promote a safe and positive work environment that aligns with both company policy and mission.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
- Collaborate with department managers to determine hiring needs and workforce planning
- Support recruitment efforts for the organization(s) with an emphasis on our mission, including writing advertisements, conducting interviews, pre-employment screenings, and other related recruitment tasks
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to retain talent
- Oversee onboarding and training programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Successfully work as an integral member of a team environment
- Forster a positive work environment, partnering with operations to address employee concerns.
- Implement employee engagement programs to improve morale, retention, and productivity
- Conduct investigations and resolve employee conflict in an empathetic, fair, consistent and efficient manner
- Coordinates exit interviews with exiting employees
Compliance and Labor Relations:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA, FLSA, and EEOC regulations
- Maintain and enforce company policies related to workplace safety, attendance and conduct
- Compile data for various Human Resources/Compliance reports (AAP, DOL, EEO-1, VETS100, CMS, OIG, E-Verify, Workers Compensation, etc.)
- Oversee fair and consistent application of Employee Services programs and
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career growth
- Conduct leadership development initiatives for supervisors and managers
- Oversee and or conduct the new hire orientation program and ensure all necessary follow-up administrative tasks and paperwork are accurately completed in a timely manner
- Maintains personnel records; keeping past and current records in an organized manner
Compensation and Benefits Administration:
- Oversee payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and compensation structures
- Conduct yearly staff and non-staff salary/prevailing wage surveys
- Conduct leadership development initiatives for supervisors and managers
- Work with external vendors and internal teams to optimize benefits offerings
- Administer employee benefits and notifications (plan document notifications, medical notifications, FMLA rights & responsibilities, STD /LTD, etc.)
Performance Management & HR Metrics:
- Implement performance evaluation processes and provide coaching to managers, supervisors and employees
- Track HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, absenteeism, safety incidents, and provide reports to Executive Leadership and Board of Directors
- Conduct yearly staff and non-staff salary/prevailing wage surveys
- Conduct leadership development initiatives for supervisors and managers
- Ensures timely administration of the employee evaluation and performance feedback programs
- Assist in the preparation of hourly progressive discipline documentation
- Assist in the preparation of new hire hourly incremental performance reviews and corresponding wage increase notification documents
Education/Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
OR
- 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment, but may be substituted for each year of education beyond high school level

- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Skillset:
· Bi-lingual (Fluent in English and Spanish)
· Human Resources certification
· Experience working or volunteering with at risk/vulnerable adults
· General knowledge and competence in Paylocity HRIS, GMP, Lean, and ISO
Environmental Exposure:
- Office & Warehouse Packaging Environment

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
