The Opportunity
A Fortune 500 telecommunications company seeks an Operations Project Manager for a long-term, temporary basis for at least 12 months, possibly longer. The position is located in Chandler, AZ and the schedule is remote on Mondays and Fridays and in-office Tuesday through Thursday. The hourly rate is $39 - $44, plus benefits.
Primary Duties
The Operations Project Manager will lead regional projects and innovation initiatives, ensuring consistent standards and practices across Network Implementation and Operations (NI&O) teams. Acting as a key liaison between NI&O, district teams and cross-functional partners, this role facilitates the adoption of best practices and corporate objectives while proactively managing risks and driving results. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills to oversee complex programs, deliver key milestones, and provide updates and presentations to leadership. Additional duties include the following :
- Manage an entire program for the West region, driving results for key milestones tracked at a highly complex level.
- Plan, organize, and oversee processes, workflows, and training programs to ensure consistent adoption across district teams.
- Align regional efforts with national business priorities to ensure consistency in execution and reporting.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel as the primary tool for tracking progress and risks on project milestones, including creating pivot tables, applying formulas, and leveraging functions to manage and report data effectively.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among teams in engineering, permitting, construction operations, finance, and supply chain to achieve strategic objectives.
- Proactively identify risks, drive multiple conversations simultaneously, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to track progress, highlight risks, and demonstrate results.
