Shift: 1st
Schedule: Will work within the Anticoagulation Clinic located at Froedtert Hospital. Hours are typically Monday - Friday, may start as early as 7am and end as late as 4:45pm, no weekend, and no holidays. Seeking someone who can work at least 3 - 4 days per week for 6 - 8 hour shifts. There may be the possibility of work-from-home shifts after completing training and demonstrating competency.
Job Summary:
Provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the monitoring of medication therapy. Functions within the guidelines of Chapter 7 of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
LICENSURE:
- Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Proven attention to detail. Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills. Experience with various computer systems and programs.
