Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Emergency Department (ED) / Trauma

Job Duration : 12-week contract

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts, including PMs / NOCs and every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours : 36.00 hours per week

Experience : 1 year in Emergency Department experience required

License : Current Registered Nurse License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact

Certifications :

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS)
American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Must-Have :

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through a minimum of two years of education required

Proficiency in English (Read, Write, Speak)

Job Description :

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department / Trauma unit is responsible for :

Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients.

Demonstrating competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population.

Completing all job duties in accordance with the standards set by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Nursing : Scope and Standards of Practice.

Holding a current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License.

Supporting proper orientation and integration into the unit as required.

Fulfilling other duties as assigned to support unit needs.
