POSITION PURPOSE
-
The Rehabilitation Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of essential business functions that may include: Claims Denial Management, Auditing Medicare Claims in Return to Provider (RTP) Status, Admitting and Billing functions, Scheduling, Check In/Out activities, EMR facilitation, Cashiering, Communications, Insurance Pre-Authorization Certifications, and Referral Verification.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

High school diploma; Bachelor degree in Business or Healthcare; or minimum of three (3) years experience in a related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

3 to 5 years in Healthcare related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Familiarity with Medical Terminology, International Classification Coding of Diseases and Current Procedural Terminology guidelines and requirements related to inpatient and outpatient therapy services.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Assists as a staff member of clinic.

Oversees daily operations of clinic: Directs the clinic workforce in terms of staffing and scheduling. Influences staff to use resources efficiently; oversees and participates in the daily business operations of registration, patient insurance, billing processes and account reimbursement.

Provides leadership: serves as an exemplary role model and projects a positive image of Froedtert South following the Froedtert South Mission Statement and Values.

Maintains positive interdepartmental working relationships for the purpose of streamlining operations to improve patient care delivery.

Assists/educates staff and physicians in complying with patient billing and referral requirements.
