What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Fromm Family Foods?
This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general upkeep on all machinery/equipment on-site to ensure overall smooth day to day operation of a fast-paced, high quality pet food manufacturing facility.
Job Requirements:
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues and minor electrical issues.
· Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting.
· Root Cause analysis to prevent failure reoccurrence.
· Develop, document, and perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize down time
· Work as a team with all members of the maintenance Department.
· The ability to MIG and TIG weld on various types of metals.
· Able to lift 50 lbs. and work at heights of 40 feet.
· Safety conscious always.
· Proactive with potential failures to prevent unplanned down time.
· The ability to accomplish electrical repairs and troubleshooting on motors, VFD’s.
· Ability to read, write and understand English.
· Applies knowledge and experience to independently improve maintenance techniques and operations.
· Research, develop, and document critical spare parts for equipment.
· Other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience with extruders or other food manufacturing equipment.
· Experience with the day to day operation of feed mills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.37 - $31.76 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
