As an Associate Producer, you will work hand-in-hand with our Producer(s) and host(s) to create smart and engaging content, providing clear production direction and creating episode outlines that align with the Front Office Sports brand. You will also edit audio and video content for our shows and have technical studio knowledge and experience. The Associate Producer will work closely with the social team to adapt our daily show content for audiences across various platforms (i.e., Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) and keep up with industry trends.
The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, organized, and detail-oriented. Highly efficient time management and superb attention to detail are a must—our Associate Producer will also assist with sourcing guests for shows and be responsible for scheduling audio and video content.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist production on assigned podcasts/shows, directing remote and in-studio audio and video content and creating outlines that are engaging and optimized for success.
- Lead post-production on assigned shows, editing clean and dynamic audio and video content with an eye toward social.
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities of show production (i.e., guest procurement, show outlines/host notes, content strategy, social strategy, scheduling, and post-production).
- Work closely with producer and host(s) to create best-in-class content, providing regular and constructive feedback with an eye toward growth.
- Work alongside the social team to create optimized content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Support the team with new ideas to grow the show audience and engagement.
- Prep guests and host through topic ideation, sponsorship, guest screening, and outline review.
- Work with marketing and content teams on strategies to reach new audiences.
- Ensure all produced content adheres to legal and copyright guidelines.
- 3 years of experience producing shows or podcasts.
- Proficiency in video production, editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), and motion graphics (After Effects is a plus).
- Strong interest and fluency in the business of sports.
- Technical understanding of audio recording equipment and hosting platforms (i.e., Riverside, Megaphone, Spotify Ad Analytics, Apple Connect, etc.).
- Experience creating audio and video content for social video platforms (i.e., TikTok, YouTube).
- Knowledge of how to grow a podcast audience on YouTube and across distribution platforms.
- Considerable understanding of the major social platforms as a consumer and producer.
- Strong creative skills in segment producing, script and outline writing, and host prep and direction.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently on deadline; adaptability to varying workflows and editorial demands.
- Experience working in news and digital media preferred.
- Experience producing a daily audio/video show is a plus.
