Position Overview :
The Import / Export Coordinator will be responsible for managing air or ocean shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, preparing quotes, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in international freight forwarding operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day operations for air or ocean import / export shipments.
- Pre-alert agents and shippers, organize and prepare necessary documentation, and follow up with steamship lines.
- Maintain daily reports for pending shipments and ensure all required documents are received.
- File relevant documentation to process shipments and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Arrange pick-ups, deliveries, and container loading as necessary.
- Provide regular customer service updates, including tracking cargo from origin to destination.
- Set up billing and handle payables related to shipments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding logistics operations.
- 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Proficiency in CargoWise or similar freight management software is advantageous.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills to deliver excellent customer service.
- Ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment to achieve results.

Compensation : $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
