What Will You Be Doing?

This intern position will support Frontier’s operational strategy by supporting the Regional Managers in completing research, financial analysis and other administrative duties to assist in negotiating and administering required leases/agreements. This role will assist in evaluating financial impacts of space and airport rate changes so that Frontier may make sound operational and business decisions while leveraging available resources to minimize cost associated with real estate leases. This internship is for Summer 2025 6/2/2025 - 8/29/2025 based in Denver, CO.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Regional Managers and Data Analytics teams to apply LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies. Conduct in-depth analyses of airport layouts, identifying inefficiencies in ticket counters and gate areas to enhance operational flow.
  • Implement Kaizen principles to refine airport operations. Leverage financial and operational data to drive innovative, cost-effective solutions that improve processes and streamline performance.
  • Review and analyze properties and facilities agreements, extracting key terms and conditions to support optimal business decision-making.
  • Assess performance metrics and develop strategic recommendations for Airport Planning, Finance, Network Planning, and other departments.
  • Prepare in-depth reports on airport rates and charges, budget projections, and cost distributions for leasehold space. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service.
  • Develop ad hoc analyses and financial models to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Contribute to high-impact projects that shape airport operations and airline strategies.
  • Monitor key airport industry developments and synthesize insights for strategic review.


Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or have graduated within the past 365 days
  • Preference given to candidates whose degree is focused on Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, and the Aviation/Aerospace Industry
  • Preference given to candidates that have completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate-level coursework or to those enrolled in a graduate program


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
  • Intermediate Quantitative, analytical, communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, work independently and take initiative on assigned projects
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • A positive attitude towards learning and a strong aptitude to contribute to the team

Physical Effort

Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.

Close Supervision: The incumbent is assigned duties according to specified procedures and receives detailed instructions. Work is checked frequently.
