What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Monitor PT position at Frontier Central School District?
Schedule: 2:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in supervision and maintains order in study halls, corridors, recreation areas, parking lots and other school facilities and grounds before, during and after school hours;
- Monitors buildings and grounds to prevent vandalism, theft and illegal entry;
- Guides students in safe practices inside and outside the school building;
- Reports any unusual or suspicious circumstances to building administration;
- Monitors school grounds to detect unauthorized persons, vehicles or gatherings;
- Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning, routes or detains them, calling building administration for assistance when appropriate;
- Make written reports when needed or requested;
- Assists School Resource Officer, school nurse(s) or teachers in the event of a medical emergency;
- Assists students with special needs;
- Performs other related work as assigned by the high school principal or designee.
Job Qualifications
1. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency diploma;
- Successful prior experience working with adolescents.
Effective communication and human relation skills with both adolescents and adults;
3. Ability to maintain order and enforce school regulations with firmness;
- Dependable, neat, mature, and able to show good judgment;
- Certification in first aid preferred;
- In physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
