Job Summary:
The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the electrical contracting industry, Electrical Codes, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand Frontier Electric’s market presence.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial and industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business leads.
- Present proposals, bids, and contracts for potential clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including project management and estimating, to ensure client needs are met.
- Represent Frontier Electric at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Stay up to date with local and state regulations affecting the electrical contracting industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
