The position: THIS IS A PRE-ENTRY POSITION FOR THE FRONTIER ELECTRIC APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING PROGRAM
Those without electrical experience are encouraged to apply for our material handler position. This entry-level job is a valuable way to gain experience, understand the workflow, and become familiar with the tools and lingo of the industry. Material handlers work primarily in the warehouse or delivering materials to jobsites in both Washington and Oregon with our company vehicles. We use the material handler position as a pre-entry point into our apprenticeship program to evaluate your ability to be a successful apprentice.
Availability within the apprenticeship program is on a rolling basis. Spots in the program are limited to the 1:1 apprentice to journeyman ratio that is required on our jobsites. Entry into the program through the material handler position is not based on seniority, but rather based on your achievements in your time as a material handler. Material handlers can spend anywhere from 6 months to a year in this position before being promoted into the apprenticeship program.
Compensation for the material handler position starts at $15.74/hour. Apprentice wages start at $19.90/hour and increase per every 1,000 hours of OJT.
