QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree or higher in the area of major study.Current Massachusetts Certification in the area of teaching assignment.REPORTS TO: Building PrincipalOVERVIEW: Frontier Regional and Union #38 Schools seek a committed and student-centered educator to serve as a Classroom Teacher. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of child development, inclusive and responsive teaching practices, and a dedication to equity and joyful learning. This teacher will contribute to a collaborative school culture and uphold high standards for both academic and social success.RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructional Practice & Planning. Teach core subjects including reading, language arts, mathematics, science, health, and social studies using district-adopted curricula aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students. Translate plans into learning experiences that effectively use instructional time and classroom resources. Differentiate instruction through small groups, individual support, and modifications to ensure all students access grade-level content.Classroom Management & EnvironmentEstablish and maintain standards of student behavior that promote respect, safety, and positive classroom culture. Create an effective environment for learning using organized spaces, classroom routines, and functional displays and bulletin boards.

Supervise students in the classroom and during designated out-of-classroom times.Assessment & Data UseEvaluate students academic and social-emotional development using formative and summative assessments. Maintain accurate records of student progress, including assessments, progress reports, and anecdotal notes. Administer standardized tests according to district guidelines. Collaboration & Professionalism Work collaboratively with grade-level teams, specialists, and school leadership to support student success and school goals.

Actively participate in curriculum development, faculty committees, and school events or initiatives. Maintain professional competence through district-offered and self-directed professional development opportunities.Student Support & InclusionIdentify and support students with learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in collaboration with special educators and support staff. Implement IEP and 504 accommodations, participate in student support and IEP meetings, and contribute to inclusive planning and instruction. Promote equity and challenge stereotypes by incorporating diverse voices and perspectives in the classroom.Family & Community EngagementCommunicate regularly with families through conferences, newsletters, and digital platforms.

Create opportunities for family involvement in the classroom and school community.
