Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead special projects for clients, guiding the analysis of strategic or operational decisions and communicating recommendations.
- Direct forensic accounting investigations, mentor junior staff in forensic procedures, and report findings to clients.
- Manage litigation support, collaborate with counsel and clients on financial evidence, and assist with deposition and trial preparation.
- Lead the information-gathering process, assess information needs based on experience, and develop requests.
- Adjust and validate financial model assumptions, explain procedures and conclusions to clients, and teach junior staff modeling techniques.
- Provide strategic analysis and advice to senior management on investment projects and decisions.
- Adjust and validate the valuation model, discuss results with clients, direct necessary revisions, and ensure values meet standards and client needs.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis for specific engagements.
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring high technical proficiency, client satisfaction, and staff motivation.
- Review and critique reports before finalization, providing feedback and mentorship to junior and mid-level staff.
- Conduct second reviews of work by staff, seniors, and supervisors, and provide revision notes.
- Develop client relationships, work in conjunction with the Partner to advise on issues.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to coordinate project planning and management across departments.
- Conduct client meetings, oversee preparation of materials, and evaluate meeting outcomes.
- Effectively retain clients by understanding their business and developing professional networks for future growth.
- Actively participate in individual marketing activities as well as team efforts.
- Develop a tool (excel spreadsheet or otherwise) to track monthly activity and report such activity to Partner.
- Complete a minimum of 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) annually.
- Oversee the training of junior staff and teach mid-level staff advanced topics and client development.
- Understand advanced accounting and financial concepts, stay current on key topics, and expand your knowledge base.
- Review market research conducted by the team for accuracy and mentor staff on best practices.
- Lead team compliance training, understand firm policies, and mentor staff in adherence to standards.
- Maintain professional competence and objectivity with a commitment to professional skepticism.
- Serve as a team leader, fostering teamwork and mentoring junior staff.
- Regularly update Partner on engagement projects.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate an ability to identify complex issues and apply advanced accounting and financial analysis principles and techniques.
- Hold or actively pursue at least one of the following certifications: Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), OR Charted Financial Analyst (CFA), OR Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV). Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license a plus.
- Actively pursue additional professional certifications in business valuation and/or forensic accounting.
- Bachelor’s degrees in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of seven years of experience.
- Experience working in investment banking or private equity a plus.
Salary : $108,000
