Principal Faculty Physician Assistant Program
Frostburg State University seeks qualified applicants for a Principal Faculty member for our developing Physician Assistant program. Available to begin Summer 2025, this is a full-time, 12-month tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position with teaching responsibilities. The PA program will be based at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USMH). Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications; University System of Maryland benefits package included.

The Mission of Frostburg State University's Physician Assistant Program is to educate students to provide compassionate, patient-centered care grounded in best practices and delivered through interprofessional teams. Our graduates excel in quality care for underserved populations in the Western Maryland region, demonstrate a commitment to inclusiveness, are prepared to utilize innovative technologies, and aim to better the communities they serve.
Responsibilities :
- Assist the Program Director, Medical Director, and curriculum committee in aligning the PA program with accreditation standards.
- The Principal Faculty member will provide classroom and laboratory instruction using a variety of teaching methods and standardized tools.
- Furthermore, Principal Faculty will contribute to academic advising, accreditation activities, clinical practice, coordinator of instruction, and curriculum development and evaluation.
- The person in this role will also review the mission statement, provide program evaluation, and remedial instruction.
- They will also participate in student recruitment, evaluation, and selection.
