Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks and ensuring the safe and efficient excavation of soil and debris at various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and a commitment to safety protocols in all aspects of work.
Responsibilities
- Operate hydrovac trucks to excavate soil and debris safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Collaborate with crew members to execute excavation projects on construction sites.
- Utilize additional heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, backhoes, and bulldozers when required.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in horizontal drilling operations as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with hydrovac trucks.
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
- Experience operating additional machinery such as tankers, dump trucks, loaders, backhoes, and bulldozers is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
