The Superintendent of Schools announces the following positions to support students in the Extended School Year (ESY) program this summer.
Special Education Teacher
Extended School Year Program
DATES: 07/07/2025-08/01/2025
HOURS: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm = 4 hours per day
4 days per week Monday thru Thursday
TITLE: ESY Special Education Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Appropriate Massachusetts Licensure
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with certification in special education
REPORTS TO: Site Coordinator/Program Director
SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Including but not limited to:
- Prepare and implement lesson plans
- Assists the program director as needed
- Will track data as identified in student's IEP and complete progress reports
- Adhere to ESY requirements
- Overseeing snack and lunch time
- Helping students on/off the bus daily
- Strong communication skills
- Team player
- Good attendance
- Be organized and able to multi-task
- Experience working with Elementary, Middle School, and/or High School students
- Enhance learning for students with special needs in the ESY program
- Works closely with the program director, paraprofessionals and other teachers to ensure successful implementation of program goals
- Works with special needs students in small group settings to maximize learning
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hourly rate in accordance with the FRPS Educators’ Association Contract
