Fry The Coop is looking for a Shift Leader to join our expanding company! At Fry The Coop, we work as a team to deliver the best fried chicken sandwiches throughout the Chicagoland area!
As a Shift Leader you’d play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced and friendly environment. This position involves interacting with customers, preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall efficiency of the restaurant.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Greet and welcome customers with a positive attitude. Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Provide recommendations and answer customer inquiries about menu items. Ensure a friendly and attentive demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
FOOD PREPARATION: Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and guidelines. Ensure food quality and presentation meet the restaurant’s standards. Handle and store food ingredients safely and hygienically. Maintain a clean and organized work station.
CASH HANDLING: Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. Process payments, provide correct change, and issue receipts. Follow proper procedures for opening and closing cash registers.
ORDER FULFILLMENT: Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation. Package and present food orders neatly for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. Verify the completeness and accuracy of orders before serving them to customers.
CLEANING AND SANITATION: Maintain a clean and sanitary dining area, including wiping tables and surfaces. Regularly clean and sanitize utensils, equipment, and high-touch surfaces. Empty trash cans and ensure proper disposal of waste.
TEAM COLLABORATION: Communicate effectively with fellow team members and supervisors. Assist colleagues during busy periods to ensure a smooth workflow.
ADHERENCE TO POLICIES: Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Comply with food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the well-being of customers.
TEAM MANAGEMENT: Be a part of the recruitment, hiring, training and scheduling of restaurant staff. Provide leadership and mentorship to the team. Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews. Address team member issues, conflicts, and disciplinary matters as needed.
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT: Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures. Monitor and manage inventory levels and food cost control. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures. Manage vendor relationships and orders for supplies.
