Inventory Cycle Count Specialist - FS Depot

Summary of Position:

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Inventory Cycle Count Specialist is responsible for counting, reconciling, recording cycle counts, and researching the origin of any count discrepancies. Move inventory and reorganize shelves/ locations as required. Identify and report damaged products when encountered. The Inventory Cycle Count Specialist is self-sufficient, needs minimal supervision/direction, makes the decisions, solves the problems and thinks outside the box while leveraging new technologies. Possessing a “can-do” attitude, the Inventory Cycle Count Specialist has an innovative spirit and uses his/her knowledge/experience to come up with newer, better and more cost effective ideas.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Confirm parts are accurately labeled
• Manually count large quantities of parts with extreme accuracy
• Reconcile & record actual count with the Inventory System & Excel
• Identify root cause of discrepancy and report findings on a weekly basis
• Identify process improvement opportunities that will increase inventory accuracy
• Actively participate in Inventory Accuracy Team
• Report damaged product to the Quality Department when encountered
• Move inventory by hand, pallet jack, and “Big Joey”
• Operate a variety of lift trucks (order picker, reach truck, and stand up) and pickers up to 20 ft. in height to load and unload racks
• Operate material control system devices including but not limited to computer programs and wireless scanners
• In charge of printing cycle count sheets
• Operate power tools (nail guns, staple guns, etc) and machines (wrapping machine, portable and table banding machines, tape machines, etc)
• Complete inventory Management duties (removing empty pallets, consolidating inventory, etc).

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years material handling, distribution and warehouse experience
• 3 years previous work experience in cycle counting or inventory control position
• Experience driving a forklift, reach, RC, and picker truck
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Strong math skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• JDE experience a plus
• Good organizational skills
• Keep work area and department clean, neat and orderly
• Able to work both quickly and accurately
• Attention to details – labels, paperwork, quantities, part numbers, etc
• Ability to work without distraction or continuous supervision with a high level of concentration
• Experience driving a forklift, reach, RC, and picker truck a plus.

Wage Range: $17.77 - $22.60
