The FS Investments HR Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming our people's data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of HR programs, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes and overall business performance. The HR Data Analyst will work closely with various HR stakeholders and other departments to understand their data needs and deliver meaningful reports and dashboards. Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Management:
- Collect and compile HR data from various sources, including HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ATS (Applicant Tracking System), performance management systems, engagement surveys, and other relevant databases.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
- Maintain and update HR databases and dashboards.
- Develop and document data management processes and procedures.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations related to recruitment, retention, performance, compensation, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, and other key HR metrics.
- Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to communicate HR data insights to stakeholders, including HR team members, managers, and senior leadership.
- Present data findings in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner, using charts, graphs, and other data visualization techniques.
- Respond to data requests from stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information.
Insights and Recommendations:
- Translate data analysis into actionable insights and recommendations to improve HR processes, programs, and strategies.
- Proactively identify areas where data analysis can contribute to business objectives and propose solutions based on data findings.
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand their business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
- Recommend and implement improvements to HR systems and tools to enhance data quality and efficiency.
- Support the implementation of new HR technologies and systems from a data perspective.
- Compliance and Confidentiality:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant data privacy regulations and company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR data.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience: 4 years of experience in a data analyst role, preferably in an HR context.
Skills and Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros), SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience working with HRIS and other HR systems.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify meaningful patterns.
