Description
Under direct supervision of the Banquet Manager, responsible for the set-up, service to guests, and break down (clean up) of all banquets, conferences and meetings.
- Performs all related duties that include but are not limited to set up and preparation for banquets, conferences etc.
- Sets up tables, chairs, stages, buffet lines in accordance with layouts provided by the Banquet Manager.
- Sets all tables identically according to the format provided for a particular meal setting.
- Assists in the serving and/or filling of chafing dishes for buffets as required.
- Assists in cleaning, and break downs all event equipment i.e. tables and buffet areas and ensures equipment and supplies are returned to storage.
- Insure that all dishes, and banquet supplies are returned to storage and properly accounted for.
- Responsible for stocking the wait station with china, silver, paper goods, candles, and any other supplies needed for service.
- Provide a positive experience for guests.
- Polishes silverware and prepares for use.
- Serves all courses of meal, including beverage and pre-buss when appropriate.
- Keeps floors and work area clean.
- Ensures all products on the tables are clean, full and ready for customers.
- Maintains a good communication with co-workers and guests and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Prefer six months experience in banquet service, convention or food & beverage industry. Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, random drug and controlled substance abuse tests, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license in California and Arizona, if required. Tribal preference given to qualified tribal members.
