Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Construction estimating, customer service, and project management, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with customers, municipalities and other builders/contractors. We are focusing our marketing on helping clients build ADUs with the new laws passed in WA State. This position will require research to understand the new opportunities available to ADU clients, and strategize ways to help them obtain permits and funding for their projects quickly and in collaboration with reputable builders. Other types of residential Civil Construction estimates such as site development, property drainage, and retaining walls will also be the responsibility of this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential Civil construction projects including site development for houses and ADUs, property drainage and retaining walls.
- Utilize software to develop comprehensive pricing.
- Collaborate with the FTS management team, municipalities, engineers, suppliers and builders.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
- Manage client relationships and follow through with CRM software.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Implement cost control measures in project management software to ensure adherence to budget.
- Monitor production through software and occasional site visits to ensure compliance with estimates and budgets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Civil Construction estimating, preferably in a managerial role.
- Ability to use/learn our project management and CRM software.
- Excellent project management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- High level of communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Experience with cost control methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors and other necessary associates.
- Problem solving skills useful for solving client's needs.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
