FTS Inc is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to oversee our client's AR operations and lead a team of 10 professionals. Our client is located in Rockville, MD, in the professional services industry, and is rapidly growing their teams! This role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate billing, managing eBilling systems, and optimizing collections processes to maintain healthy cash flow. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive experience in billing operations, third-party portal management, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop an AR team of approximately 10 employees, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
- Manage eBilling systems and third-party billing portals to streamline and enhance billing efficiency.
- Ensure the accuracy of AR records and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize collections and reduce outstanding receivables.
- Analyze AR metrics, generate reports, and provide insights to senior leadership for decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Finance, Sales, and Customer Service, to address billing issues and improve processes.
- Utilize billing software and Microsoft Excel to monitor and report on AR performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure positive communication regarding invoicing and payments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in billing operations and/or accounts receivable, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Hands-on experience managing eBilling processes and third-party billing portals.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to improving AR functions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
